pg. 210: "Nature, that framed us of four elements, Warring within our breasts for regiment. Doth teach us all to have aspiring minds...Still climbing after knowledge infinite...Until we reach the ripest fruit of all: That perfect bliss and sole felicity, The sweet fruition of an earthly crown. [3.1.18-29]
My favorite lines of "Tamburlaine the Great" speaks to the renaissance ideaology that we as humans are never satisfied with our realities. We're always wanting more. Whether it is wealth, knowledge, or something else, we all reach for something greater.
